Deputy Head of the Civil Aviation Department of the Republic of Tang Min said that the country’s carriers are ready to form a flight schedule to various Russian cities.
Before arriving in Moscow, the official held a meeting with the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency. Tang Min and Dmitry Yarov, as representatives of their departments, discussed the necessary administrative procedures for the start of flights between the Russian Federation and Vietnam. Tang Ming was also provided with information about the capabilities of airports in the Russian capital.
According to a representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Tanga was more than satisfied with the efficiency of the three Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports. In addition, Vietnamese and Russian airlines are ready to resume regular and charter flights.
It became known that Igor Chalik, Deputy head of the Transport Department, recently visited the Republic. He said that flights between the countries will begin in November. Currently, the only direct flight is operated from Irkutsk to Hanoi via the airline “IrAero”. However, the carrier cannot accept all tourists who wish to travel along this route.
Vietnam will allow Russian airlines to fly in the country on planes that do not have a foreign registration. In turn, Russia will assist Vietnam Airlines and VietJetAir airlines in resolving issues of flight insurance within the country.
The cooperation between Hanoi and Moscow is not unexpected. The reason is that Russia had previously committed itself to financing Vietnam’s transport and energy infrastructure.
The signed agreements will significantly speed up the resolution of the issue of the beginning of air transportation. Presumably, in December, tourists will be able to visit the resorts of the Asian country.
